The Albion

Address: 135 George St, Parramatta NSW 2150
Phone: (02) 9891 3288

Hours: 10:00am - 2:00 am

I recently went to The Albion with family for lunch over the long weekend and unfortunately i have to say i was displeased with the service. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and we were waiting close to an hour for our food. And finally, when it was ready, the staff got the orders wrong and we had to wait even longer. Although all the meals looked good, the mains were disappointing. Both the salad and pasta were beautiful, but the steaks were not cooked well, had a rubbery texture and had no flavour. It was nice to sit outside in the sun and eat but regrettably, the overall dining experience was poor.

Located on the entry floor of Macquarie Center, Kaizen BBQ is a quaint restaurant that offers a range of mouth-watering traditional Korean dishes at prices affordable for everyone.

Depending upon your mood, your choices vary. On normal days I opt for a Bibimbap that consists of either chicken or pork but on this day I wanted something a bit spicier.

Tteokbokki (also known as spicy/chilli rice cakes) is a popular Korean snack food that is made from soft rice cake, fish cake and sweet red chilli sauce. At a price under $10, it leaves you and your wallet very happy.

The overall experience is pleasant. The staff is nice and courteous and the waiting time is not very long. With the option of eating in or taking away it caters to many people.

Lovely place for breakfast with a wide and personally specialised menu where you can request your own meal. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and the music playing in the background is very relaxing. One of the main reasons i enjoy this cafe is for their watermelon juice. It is so nice and refreshing, definitely recommend to try it!

The Eight is a crossover restaurant fusing modern with tradition, in both the interior design and the menu. The restaurant heaves with families and trolleys with every kind of yum cha food available. I was with a friend who grew up in China so I let her decide. We ordered pork steamed buns, spring rolls, noodles. Everything was delicious! Unfortunately the wait clouded my experience. After receiving our ticket at the front, we stood there for half an hour waiting to be taken to a table.

Two words for this place; indulgent and innovative! N2 is a gelato restaurant that creates its ice cream from liquid nitrogen (100% no fear!) The restaurant has a range of delicious and experimental flavours brought out each week, ranging from mango to buttered popcorn. The store has a unique science and laboratory theme, creating a fun atmosphere for the customers to enjoy and look at as they wait in line. Due to the popularity, waiting to get your gelato does take quite a while, so prepared to be patient! I had the "Brokeback Moment", a yummy $8 vanilla gelato complete with a honeycomb choc top, honeycomb bites and a warm caramel filled syringe. Be careful, the gelato melts quite quickly so eat it fast!

Cafe New York is conveniently located in Chatswood, and I have to agree it with their advertising, it does have great service! I was served as soon as I sat down, the service was quick and efficient, and my food was served to me in record time. The staff are friendly, even when it becomes busy. The environment of the restaurant is both family friendly and the kind of space where you could bring your laptop and work and enjoy a coffee. I ordered the pancakes and they were delicious!

This restaurant truly deserves its rating. It provides an exquisite bar & dining experience with unique, high quality food, large servings and excellent service. I loved the way they serve their lemon lime and bitters, such a refreshing drink poured into mini jugs. Every meal looked and tasted delicious, in particular the steak. It was cooked perfectly in a lovely sauce with garlic prawns and a side of potato and vegetables. I highly recommend it!
